Today I got to mark something off my bucket list that I've been intrigued about since a child - Seeing Area 51!
First off, Area 51 is literally in the middle of nowhere! Ok, it's actually right outside this town called Rachel, NV - but trust me, it's the middle of nowhere. This is NOT a place you could just happen on and be like "wow, Area 51!".
I'm a deep thinker and so obviously I've sat around many times and wondered "what's out there?!". Honestly, I think it could be anything and I'm not going to discredit really any ideas that could exist. Is Area 51 a place filled with secrets? Maybe. Or it's just a place where the government tests out bombs/airplanes and just goes with the hype as a way to cover up a different location for their secret missions. Regardless, seeing Area 51 is fascinating and it's always fun to let your imagination run wild sometimes.
It's amazing to me how fascinated we are about the universe and other planets / galaxies when there's still so much unknown in our own world. It makes sense, though. In some way it is comforting to know that it's a big world and an even bigger (like quadrillion times bigger) universe out there. We're all pretty insignificant when you put it that way and so should our problems and stresses be.
Is there anything else out there among us? What's our purpose? What is all of this about? It's a lot to think about but one thing's for sure to me- we should never take for granted being alive, being here, and being able to pursue our dreams/happiness. Life is a gift and what a wonderful world to be able to inhabit.
